Dear Comrades and Auxiliary, 

Saturday April 25th, we will have our Civilian-Military Ball at the Red Hook Community Center. Tickets and sponsorship can be purchased at the Post as well as online. You should be receiving an email soon with the invitation. Forward to friends who you believe support us. This will be a great evening of good food and great company. Mark your calendars! Also next month at our regular monthly meeting on Monday, April 13, we will hold our Post Officer elections. There are some positions coming open so come to this month’s meeting on Monday, the 9th, to hear more. 

Looking further down the road there is our annual Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 25th and on Saturday, June 6 we are in the early stages of planning another community event looking at D-Day with a special guest speaker. 

If you haven’t been to the Post recently you will see that our electrical upgrade is moving along nicely. Besides the new generator and propane tank outside, the storage room by the kitchen has the new electrical panels and has been drywalled with a new drop ceiling. More improvements to come. We will also be re-roofing the rest of the Post not roofed last year. The solar panels the Senator Hinchey’s office secured a grant for will soon follow.  

Speaking of grants, we have been reimbursed for the new HVAC system in the Hall from that same grant through NY State from Senator Hinchey. We also have a new medical storage shed that the High School building trades class constructed for us. The materials we paid for through a grant to our new 501(c)(3), the Hudson River Patriots Alliance. Come and marvel at our transformation.
