Dear Comrades and Auxiliary,
The Holiday Season has come upon us. As we go into this season your Post is sponsoring some great events.
First there is the 80’s Dance Party sponsored by our Auxiliary on Saturday, November 29 from 6:00-10:00. The proceeds will go toward purchasing gifts for the annual Gifts for Children event on December 20 listed below. Get you leggings and sweat suits on and join us.
On Sunday December 7 we are hosting a special speaker to talk about the fateful events of the attack on Pearl Harbor that catapulted our country into the Second World War. There will be a lunch buffet served. Tickets are available.
On Friday night, December 19 we will have an Ugly Sweater Party at the Canteen.
The following day, Saturday afternoon December 20 our Auxiliary and the American Cruisers will host their annual Christmas In the Village Toy gifting for our community children at our Post.
On December 31 we will host our annual New Year’s Eve Party at the Canteen.
Our weekly Home-Made Mondays and our Tuesday Burger nights will continue. If you haven’t come by for these you’re missing out!
On November 26th and December 17th our Music Bingo nights will be held and Trivia nights will be held December 4th and 18th. A lot going on to enjoy with our patrons, new and returning.
One special note: We have moved our annual raffle event from December 6th to March. Please see the Quartermaster’s note below. I hope that you and your dear ones have a safe and blessed season of peace and good will.
See you at the Post!

VFW Post 7765 – Important and Heartfelt Raffle Update
The 450 Raffle and 50 Executive Raffle drawing has been postponed to March 21, 2026.
We want to speak honestly and directly to our supporters: as of today, we’ve sold about $20,000 in raffle tickets toward a $45,000 prize payout. With the drawing approaching fast, and facing economic pressures far outside our control, we simply have not reached the threshold needed to responsibly award these prizes on the original date.
This decision was not made lightly. This raffle is one of our most important annual fundraisers — helping us provide free meals, scholarships, veteran support, toys for local children, and countless acts of service that ripple throughout our community all year long. These programs matter. They change lives. And we refuse to compromise the integrity of this fundraiser or the work it makes possible.
Every ticket purchased so far will be honored at the March 21, 2026 drawing. After thoughtful discussion, the Post unanimously agreed that extending the fundraiser — rather than issuing refunds — is the most responsible path to ensure we can deliver on our promises and continue supporting those who rely on us.
We know this postponement is an inconvenience, and for that, we sincerely apologize. But we also believe deeply in the strength of this community and the mission we share. Like many veteran and service organizations across the country, we face challenges day to day — yet our commitment never wavers. We will continue showing up for veterans, for families, and for the entire community that stands with us.
Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your unwavering support. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Quartermaster, Troy Haley, at troy@vfw7765.org.
Together, we will keep moving forward — serving, supporting, and strengthening our community.
